Madison Caan is an American Theatre and Film Actor, whose journey as an artist has been defined by her unwavering commitment to developing and honing her craft.
Hailing from New York City, and raised in Connecticut, Madison's love of acting was ignited in her childhood through films, Broadway musicals and theatre productions. When she was just 6 years old, her mother took her to see a local production of Oliver Twist, and when the curtain came down, Madison's mother asked her, "So, what did you think?" and Madison replied, "When can I do that?!"
Participating in sports was nonnegotiable in Madison's household, and she spent many years balancing an athletic career in Field Hockey, Lacrosse, and Snowboarding, with artistic endeavours in Church choir, school choir, school musicals and community plays. To say she had a busy childhood is an understatement.
At University Madison continued to refine and sharpen her artistry, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre, with a Concentration in Acting, from Skidmore College, New York. Within the Theatre Department at Skidmore, Madison performed devised work, straight plays, plays in development, musicals, and Shakespeare. Post-grad, Madison took her talents to NYC, where she performed in Shakespearean plays and collaborated on innovative projects with award winning directors.
Seeking new challenges, Madison moved to Los Angeles in 2018, determined to follow her uncle's footsteps by pursuing a career in film and television. In L.A., Madison trained at Playhouse West, with the renowned Meisner Acting Coach, Robert Carnegie, whose teachings and performance coaching propelled her work into a new chapter.
Unexpectedly, due to the Pandemic, Madison moved to Toronto in late 2020 to be with her Canadian beau. Searching for a new training hub, she was connected with Director, Filmmaker and Acting Coach Sophie Ann Rooney, and Grisha Pasternak, who's transformative teachings at RAW Actor Studio have further contributed to Madison's growth as an artist.
Represented by Phil Flagler, at Artist Management Inc., Madison's dual status as a U.S. Citizen, and Permanent Resident of Canada affords her casting opportunities on both sides of the border. Most recently, Madison booked the leading role of "Bailey" in feature film, MORTAL GAME, which is set to release Fall 2023.
Madison's dedication to the industry extends beyond the stage, as she is uniquely known for her collaborative/team-player mindset. Madison makes sure to support the artists in her community by attending plays, screenings and events for new works, and always making herself available as a reader for fellow actors.
Nonunion (for now) Madison actively welcomes and accepts collaboration with local filmmakers and has full availability for new projects - please reach out!
